Re: D^RGW 315 Question

It was removed in 2001 as we were stripping the boiler for its preliminary inspection. The local electricity company loaned us a crane and removal of that was high on the list of priorities. Underneath sat the original, a bit rusty but unscathed. As to what happened the Hollywood stack I am not sure. That stack was large, heavy and hated and not the sort of keepsake I'd want in my garage. Bear in mind when the 315 was being prepared to go the Santa Rita fPark for display the D&RGW pimped it up but the stack was so tall they could not get in the roundhouse and the 315's front end had to stay out in the open.
