Black Hills NG - Extra

While unpacking I came across a Mis-named file with the NMRA Bulletin of July 1972 which has an extensive article covering the narrow guage operations of the Black Hills by Rick Mugele... I haven't seen Burlington Bulletin #41 yet so this material might be published there also... But in either event it has the best image I've seen to date of Burlington & Missouri River #495... A 2-8-0 outside framed locomotive still using the 4-wheeled tender from when it was Deadwood Central #6... It later became CB&Q #538... The image is dated 1902 at Fantail Junction, but does not provide a photo credit... Also of particular interest is the cartography covering the rail operations of this region... Cordially... John
