On3/On30 diesel project...

A friend and I are collaborating on designing an On3/On30 diesel. We are right now doing two versions, one that would fit on an Athearn blue box SD-40-2, and another using an older Life Like Proto 2000 GP-30 chassis. We have done some preliminary 3d prints, and have the part of the body and how it attaches to the chassis worked out. I am aiming for close enough for the actual designs of the shells, and a lot will depend on what detail parts I can come up with. The idea is to eventually market them, but that is another thread... For the SD-40-2 chassis, I am looking to base the body on the 1203, formerly of the Georgetown Loop and currently on the Durango and Silverton. Like I said, not necessarily going for exact on it. I am looking for some rough dimensions of this locomotive, in particular the frame at the front steps, the hood width and height, and cab length width and height. I am also looking for detail pictures of the rear/cab of the locomotive. I will post some pictures as things develop. A long term goal is to design and 3d print a White Pass MLW unit, but that is a ways away.
