Bill Huffman gets a good sendoff

A packed service was held for the late Bill Huffman today . Conductor and former Benedictine Monk Gene Corrigan helped officiate . Lots of railroaders ,former and present , were in attendence .Among them were Larry Beam ,Russ Jones , Steve Jackson , Ray Loose , Ed Strauss , John Nolan , Niel Reich , Dick Kroekel , Joel Mason and yours truly . Bill was the last engineer on the narrow gauge that had been an engineman for the D&RGW . It was an honor to have worked for him . Adios ,amigo , and goodbye .
