After looking for a pair of D&RGW class lamps and coming up empty handed, a little more than a month ago I decided to jump off the deep end and set out to make my own. I started with a Handlan marker for the top and the bottom but fabricated the rest. I didn't know a whole lot about metal work but luckily had friends that were willing to teach, help out and offer pointers as I went through this process. Well this afternoon I finished up my first one and figured I would share it with all of you. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun and rewarding looking at what I've accomplished. Its not perfect but I kinda like the character that adds and hope you all will like it as well. Now on to making a friend to go with this one. :-)
