Four months before HTP's February 2012 anticipated photo charter, and 23 days after its initial announcement, this happened. On October 29, 2011 it snowed. It was the last time I saw the East Broad Top under steam, for 2 months later they locked their doors and the railroad has been silent since. This was my 'day of days'; although I continually try, I doubt I will ever have an outing like this one again. They ran the full schedule, even though the roads and passenger cars were empty, not another photographer present. For me this remains
the Winter Spectacular... on Halloween weekend.
