I assume the plow you are referring to is the Moffat Rotary. There is a lot of history of the Moffat rotary plows in the Corona Telegraph magazine published by the DSL society. The D&RGW had two standard gauge rotary plows of its own...070 based in Salt Lake City for use on the Utah lines. 071 was based in Salida. It was used on Tennessee Pass, the Ibex branch, once on LaVeta Pass, a couple of times on the joint line at Palmer Lake. When the D&RGW and DSL merged, the D&RGW scrapped 071 as Jordan Spreaders could take care of most of the snow and they inherited the Moffat rotary which was a newer and more efficient one than the 071.
