The historical society has no immediate plans for the engine house or the baggage car. The grounds are fenced and we use the building for storage of our heavy metal artifacts. In the past, we have done structural repairs to the inside, roof, and made window coverings. The vertical boiler and some overhead shafting is still in the structure and the 2 engine pits are covered over. There is also a 3000 series D&RGW boxcar on the grounds that was donated by Bill Jones a while back. We liberated a ng frog from the old Ridgway wye when that was being scrapped, and we have a few bits and pieces of rail hardware, including a switchstand that also came from up north. We hope to relay the trackage there at some point and have been in discussions with the D&S about them using one stall for winter engine storage, but see, this has already led me astray from your question. It's there, we keep a protective eye on it.
