Cool beans Mike, now I'm convinced you were in the cab of my train back then. We rode the SJ Express and it was a 6 car train that day. We also got delayed by a mudslide which I thought was cool for some reason. 476 was our engine and we rode in early August of 1982. After looking at a few pictures we did ride on the left side of the train so I would have seen more of the fireman that day.
