Yes, but passengers were smart enough back then to not hang off the ends of moving equipment on a dare. If they were, it was just Natural Selection at work and the business rolled on. We didn't have the plethora of Lawyers trying to protect us from ourselves and then sue for somebody elses stupidity back then either. If they did, they usually lost.
