This rail here is 50 lb, then it upgrades to 56-60 lb rail a little further up. The original railway was built on 25-32 lb rail, but we use 56-60 now because it is fairly easy to get, and a few of the other Maine Two Footers used 56 lb rail as engines and trains became heavier.
