George and I had FEGUA 168 a Krupp on our last CART charter in November 1980. Here is our train on the big trestle just north of the river crossing (another big bridge) at Agua Caliente. By then things were really going down hill, the fact we had an extra tender reflected the fact that many of the water facilities were no longer maintained. Things were also going down hill in the country, and after spending time at a road block staring down the barrel of an Uzi submachine gun held by a "soldier" who looked like he couldn't have been more more than 14 or 15 years old, my wife and I decided our train chasing days in Guatemala were over. I did go back three more times, but that is another story.
