Interesting photo! I never noticed a DRGW NG loco with steps from the pilot to the running boards before seeing this one. Is it rar or have I not been all that observant?

Also, in the original post, the shadow is perfectly situated to appear to be a shelf on the smokebox door with three items of some sort. But zooming in, it's apparent that it's just a shadow and the three "objects" are just the dirt pattern from the smokebox door bolts.
