I just got off the phone with Hinsdale County Museum Director Grant Houston, and he told me that D&RG Combo Car 211 is located in Monte Vista. It will cost about $6,000.00 to move the car to Lake City this spring, then more will be known of what work, funding, and supplies will be needed.
He said that there is no formal fund-raising for the car re-hab yet, but sent a donation form link for the museum. Just make a note that it is for the D&RG Combo Car 211 Re-Hab, and a return address, so a thank you can be sent.
