But in the photo at the top of [
ngdiscussion.net] it looks like the first car immediately behind the last tender is sticking out about a foot farther toward the near side of the train – could it, and the cars behind it, be standard-gauge? They're not a whole lot bigger than the tenders, but IIRC back when that photo was taken standard-gauge boxcars weren't nearly as big as they were after the turn of the century. The camera was positioned at exactly the same level as the track, so I can't tell if its three-rail track – with the the third rail on the side closer to the photographer – or not.
