Here are a couple of telegraph items from our SVRR archives. They are likely not from the SVRy, but rather from someone's personal collection that we inherited. I'd like to learn more about what they are just for my own curiosity. The first item I assume is the thing that makes the clicks that the telegraph operator hears to convert from dots and dashes to words The second item is completely lost on me. I think there may be a missing part. It does have WU Tel Co. stamped in the wood. One of our members did think they came from the Baker SVRy depot, but since we are fairly sure SVRy always used telephone for company communication it is a remote possibility. On the other hand perhaps it was to send and receive telegraph messages via Western Union. Any help will be appreciated.
