Good eyes on the artifact. It's part of one of the headlights from one of Southwest Lumber Company's standard gauge 3 Truck Heisler locomotives that ran in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico. The locomotive ran away on a switchback in Wills Canyon and tumbled downhill. An approximately 13% grade recovery track was laid down to the wreck and the locomotive was hauled back up to the grade. The image below is at the bottom of the recovery track looking uphill:
