I have a photo of 496 on a flat bound for Pueblo and she is mostly intact. Some obvious parts were missing and repatriated to some of her sisters. Her tender went to 491 and stayed with 491 until retirement and later went with 494 to the C&TS where it resides today. 496 was not wrecked but was set aside in 1953 due to a cracked boiler from what I've read. Which is a shame because in 1945 496 recieved a completely new boiler in Burnham shops. Hope this helps, I will see about posting that picture of her departure from Alamosa.
