NNG: Research Question

October 23, 2017 12:54PM
Hello fellow members,

I am doing some research into some various valuations maps of several railroads at the National Archives in College Park, MD and have located the maps I need. But, being in Iowa, I can't go out to MD for the foreseeable future to obtain the maps.

My question is has anyone on the forums used and outside person for hire to do the research and obtaining of the maps? Does anyone have any recommendations for those that have hired anyone and what is the quality of their work? How was payment made?

I am looking for someone to obtain the valuation maps and make scans of them onto a flash drive.

I know the price of the valuation maps from the archives are $3.50 per lineal foot, $3.50 per page scan or taking photos for free. I have 28 pages I would like to obtain.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you,

Ethan

We have witnessed valley
and plain and crest,
Canon and pass we've scanned;
We have seen the best
of the glorious West,
by the trail of the Rio Grande
