That would be like Lionel's Boy and Girl Sets, But I don't think it would be very practical.

While I was in Antonito I talked with some of the shop personnel and they were talking about the situation of 463, originally it was planned to paint her back to her standard colors, but I believe you are correct for the issues at hand, like the leaky flues of 488 and the piston rings of 484 pulled possible painters away from getting her back to her original glory.
