I have to agree with you on that. It's amazing how over these past few decades, this railroad has progressed so much (Historic Cars, Rebuilding sand tower, oil racks, old buildings getting restored...).
I think one reason why the EBT is going through these difficulties is because it has a weaker historical appeal compared to the D&S and The C&TS, who also have a mixture of a "Western" and/or "Frontier" appeal, too. Another factor is that many well known films (Indiana Jones, Rio Grande, Around the World in 80 days...) have been filmed on the two Colorado railroads.
