The D&RGW only had 6 total air dumps (OR & OS + 0140/ 0141/ 0142/ 0143) so I am wondering if the 10 air dumps listed could be correct? Or was this drop bottom gons instead? Remember that in an earlier post for 5/6/1949 there was a work train loading and unloading rock out of Aztec on the Farmington Branch. The air dumps lasted until 1951 so this could be part of the answer to my question of what equipment was being used but the quantity of 10 doesn’t work for air dumps.
Is there any indication of what types of tanks (car #) were used on the gas and fuel oil going to Chama? I am assuming this was Conoco product moving from the Conoco refinery in Farmington to the Conoco distributor in Chama that was along the middle of the yard (river side)?
