The Southern Pacific Time Machine At Laws!

I just got back from my week at Laws. The first part of the week I helped load and then unload the #18 engine and tender. On Thursday I got down early and helped put the engine back together. That afternoon after she was fired up, the #18 team showed their appreciation by letting me be the first fireman on the SP narrow gauge since September 1959 as we then spent 3 hours switching the yards and getting the bugs our of #18.

Steve Barry ran the photo shoot on Friday but asked me for a couple of ideas along the way. Here is a shot I suggested and the photographers seemed to like it very much.
