Just found my photo of General Palmer when he held a better position in Union Station. This was late 1970s when track #1 (I think) was a few steps from the waiting room and the stripes of an Amtrak car of the CZ can be seen at the left of the picture. It appears the General is plugging up what had been a window opening so maybe he wandered around that station over the years before being dumped into the basement. It is a rather large casting:
