My wife and I rode a few days later (09/06) and we were told it was FRA inspectors that slow-ordered parts of the line. Due to the level of employees the D&S works with, they had to hire a contractor to do the immediate (no one said, "emergency") repairs. We also saw D&S crews (2-3 guys each) waiting for our train to pass. We were about an hour-and-a-half late at the end of the day.
Lots of new ties and a narrow-gauge production tamper sitting in a short spur. I had assumed all the trackwork would be by hand!
