I can help a little on this...
Atchee at Mile 28.3, was a shop area and not the main headquarters. This was likely at Mack where there was a connection with the RG.

Both articulateds were tested soon after arriving on the IRCA and given ratings on both the Pacific and Atlantic Divisions. Although the steepest grade on the railroad
was the 3.7% on the upper end of Palin Hill, the pair found a home in Mazatenango, which lies between Escuintla and the Mexican border on the Pacific Division.
This had some shorter pulls of 3.3% vs. the unrelenting 16 miles of 3.6%/3.7% of Palin Hill.
They settled into a job that was a mixed turn between the two terminals.

251 had been supplying some parts to keep 250 going in the early 60's.
