THANKS, John - I think -
Your vote of confidence is much appreciated. Maybe we can work with The Friends to "enhance" the charter(s) tentatively scheduled for late September / early October next year. But we need to change the honoree from Pancho Villa to Emiliano Zapata (see below).
Thanks to a neighbor of mine whose parents live in Chromo, Rich Muth has recently received a shipment of GRAMP
S Chromo Crude Triple Chocolate Stout.* I haven't heard back as to whether he survived the sampling thereof, so I'm not sure if it should be named the "official beverage" for your proposed excursion.
I'll leave the recruiting of a militia and the hiring of a Mariachi band in your capable hands, as the only instrument I play is the rub-board and that's Cajun / Zydeco, not Mariachi. I do have some lyrics for our theme song, though – to the tune of
'La Cuccaracha'. The following have been approved (but not spell-checked) by two of my Hispanic acquaintances
:
"¡Viva Zapata, Viva Zapata, Viva Revolucion! ¡¡Porqué Zapata, Porqué Zapata, Es un Hombre
Muy Cabron!!"
"¡Quero Cerveza, Quero Cerveza, Y los Tacos al Carbon! Quero Cerveza, Quero Cerveza, ¡¡Soy un Hombre Borrachon!!
