Those sills look very familiar, in fact they look exactly like the ones we built for our restoration of C&S 1008 which we have been working on for several years now. I think Bob posted photos of our frame rebuild and you might be able to find them somewhere in the archives to compare. When we started our project we spent several days crawling around measuring and photographing 1006 in Silver Plume and have referred to those photos constantly. We are preparing a progress report and will post soon. This will include machining and polishing axel journal surfaces and a few other mile stones. I am getting ready to make the molding forms for pouring the new babbitt in our brasses and finishing construction of the 8"X 8" brake cylinder and reservoir.
By the way, Brother Bob and I have been asked to make a presentation at the convention about our project. Our time slot will be on Friday at 8:00 AM and again at 8:00 PM that evening. I understand that since the programs are at the printers we will not be listed in it and at this point we don't know what room we will be in, so if you would care to join us please check when you arrive and I am sure you will be pointed in the right direction. And please spread the word to any other C&S "Bobber" fans - Hope to see you there.
