How far could you drive from Gato toward Dulce back in DRGW days? In 1965 the road was good enough for a rental car as far as the lumber mill at MP 385.9, about four miles east of Gato, I know that only because I have the pictures. What I don't have is any memory of how much farther past the lumber mill we got. I have one picture taken east of the mill (I know that only because of the Kodak number stamp) but my memory is blank as to where east of the mill. I seem to remember at some point the road basically became a 4x4 trail if you could get through at all, but how far past the mill was that.
