SFAIK, the San Juan never ran from Durango to Silverton – only from Alamosa to Durango and back. Passenger service to Silverton during the San Juan era was provided by the Silverton Mixed. OTOH, maybe the C&TS could loan #463 to the D&S for a season in exchange for the Alamosa, two coaches and an RPO. That way the C&TS could run an authentic K-36 powered San Juan, and the D&S could run a K-27 powered Silverton Mixed.
