That standard gauge line somehow doesn't look like it's more than twice as wide as the Ffestiniog - I thought it might be 'colony gauge' (42"), but obviously my eyes deceived me.

The steady grade and smooth track are amazing! And the countryside reminded me of that along parts of the S.P. here in California – but only in February or March.
