Ee-gads David!!!! I've been caught on film!? I was hoping if I stood very still no one would notice!

We ended up having to change the final height bearing so I was out there on Tuesday taking measurements and will be getting the updated drawings to the fab shop later this week. I was hoping to go out there tomorrow as well but other stuff has come up. It's neat getting to put my education to good use. I don't give my department enough credit. I have relied heavily in this project on the Civil Engineering Department and my professors at Mines and am tremendously grateful to the school for the support they've given me. It's nice being able to do the historic preservation stuff and get school credit for it.

We're hoping to have the table in by railroad days, not necessarily decked or finished but in and spinning. My hope is that we'll be done in the next 5 weeks. We have about another 2 weeks to wait on the cure time for the concrete and once that has been reached the steel work will have been done on the table and we'll get a crane in and make a turntable fly. This project has been a huge learning experience and working for Dr. Brantigan and with Bill Kazel has been wonderful.

The decking should be arriving in about 3 weeks and we may be able to get it on by depot days but no guarantees. This has been a huge project with a lot of things up in the air *pun intended*. I still need to do the final drawings for the hand rails and more conversations need to be had about the top layer of decking.
