I worked for a time from Shattuck, OK to Spearman, TX and there were times soil would drift well above the rails. Shovel time. I have also on the old Rock west of Goodland, KS had to stop the train because the Tumbleweeds became piled as high as the cab. I would shove them out of the cut they filled to a fill and then back up a car length and the ever present wind would blow them to someone else. JP
