Hi,
I will start a new thread instead of a tangent in the SP 18 thread.
When I published my book on the Gainesville Midland Railroad, I had commissioned John Coker to paint a color painting of a SG GM 2-10-0 for the front cover based on an actual 1950's B&W photo.
He did a wonderful job.
The book was published. and it was after that that I noticed he had WHITE trim on the GM 209 decapod. I have a color photo of this locomotive that shows the trim was yellow/faux gold.
OOOPPPSSS!!!
