Dang, I shoulda knowed!!

Me 'n' a couple o' friends from Colorado College hiked snowshoe'd up that-a-way - right along the roadbed - during Spring Break in '62.  We didn't get as far as planned, and ended up digging a cave in the snow to spend the night.*   Thanks, Rich, for re-kindling some good memories!!

* For them as may not know, snow is mostly air - and a very good insulator.  We cut a bunch of pine branches to keep our sleeping bags from getting wet from the "floor" and by morning it was downright stuffy in the cave, with water dripping on us from the "ceiling".
