I second hiking to Treasure Falls. It is not far east of Pagosa Springs and the trail is only about 1/4 of a mile there and 1/4 mile back but with some decent elevation gain. The trail goes all the way to the base of the water fall and you can easily get soaked by the spray in the spring time if you choose. The kids would love it!

Close to the end of the trail. A split off of the trail can get you pretty close to the left side of the falls.
