There is a set of maybe 5 or 6 photos of #4 after an overhaul, which our archives holds the negatives to. Both the first photo that Brian posted and Bruce's from the BHM are images from this set. These negatives are part of a much larger collection that was mostly taken in the late 19teens and early 20's which includes the Jan. 1921 round house fire photos. At least one of the photos in the set which is of #17 on a train at White Pine is attributed to photographer Fred Jukes. #4 had a wooden cab prior to the round house fire, so we tend to think this was after the engine came out of the shop with a new steel cab. We are uncertain which engines were in a fire within a year or two later at Austin as the photos were not taken at an angle that gives us much to go on except that both engines in that fire had steel cabs. #4 could possibly have been one of these, so the photos might have been taken after that rebuild.
