I remember one of my first trips up to Caboose Hobbies with a PSC K-27 model in the display case. It was a fine looking model but the price tag was pretty steep. That started me down the scratch building path with my 1:24 C-25 build and then the later stalled effort on a K-27. Now I'm building a live steam K-27 for 3.5 gauge in yet another odd scale.
