Rio Grande Days 464 and 476 questions

April 09, 2017 12:34PM
I have acquired yet more 4th Division material. have a few questions and will start with these,

(1) Film shows 464 being moved from its location near the east end of the outside of the roundhouse, onto the table, then placed over next to the car repair building. Have any idea when this might have happened. I believe it sat there forever after being moved there. 473 with a diamond stack was the yard engine if that helps.

(2) What year did 476 get its diamond stack?

(3) What year did 476 have a box headlight, straight stack, and was numbered 476?

(4) What year did Diesel N4700 wye the excursion train with everyone on it at Durango?

(5) Have a train to Silverton. 476 Straight Stack, and 6 green cars behind the yellow ones. Guy was riding and I cannot tell if fantrip or regular train. Had caboose behind 476. but could be regular train before all the green cars were painted. Basic question is what year could this have taken place?

There is some real interesting stuff in this and will likely be a show unto itself. Its all 16mm as well. We know some was shot in 1958, including a fantrip. Thanks for the help. I know some of this has been discussed before (stacks).
