Re: Silverton depot/Aztec

Most all the ROW from Carbon Junction thru Aztec and into Farmington still exists, you just have to know where to look. A lot of it runs thru private land, now that the D&RGW sold back the ROW to the current landowners after abandonment. Numerous streets and roads now use the old ROW. Driving on 550 from Aztec to Cedar Hill the old ROW runs parallel to the road, and there are still remains of old bridge and culvert footings, and lots of viewable fills and gradings. The water tank at Bondad is still standing ( barely ). And the Aztec station is now a private residence. Farmington's station was never replaced after it blew up. But the freight houses adjacent to it, are still in use. Lucky me, I'm in possession of the Farmington station Sign.
