Re: Off topic - Moving to SW Colorado/In defense of the Farmington Scorpians

I actually like going to Farmington if only to escape from all of the pretensions of Durango (and we/I have a lot of them). Only problem is that you have a Target & Hobby Lobby so I am either forced to "go shopping" or try to nap in a hot car in the parking lot. Plus you have a good oldies station, the Blue Moon Diner (I think thats the name), a DQ AND an A&W!!! But an occasional visit is different than living there. Aztec looks pleasant...at least it doesn't have the miles of single wides. And its 12 miles closer to Durango! So if thats where the budget leaves you that would be the best (or least worse) choice. If you really want raw oil patch try Bloomfield or Kirkland.
My sometimes spirited defense of Farmington always seems to get a rise out of my fellow snots here in Durango as I demonstrate my blue collar hick roots from rural Nebraska which is a lot of fun its own right. If this post goes public I will certainly get banned from the Durango Art Center!
