Doug,

The D&RGW folio sheet gives the following dimensions for the K-36 class
Total locomotive wheel base of 58 feet 7 3/4 inches.
Total locomotive length over couplers is 68 feet 3/4 inch.

The K-36 class would theoretically fit on a 60 foot turntable, but would overhang the ends of the turntable by about four feet on each end. The Durango turntable, at 65 feet, was really a pretty close fit for turning the K-36 class.
