Ah-yup, that's impressive all right! Thanks, Chris -
Thanks also for inspiring a totally irrelevant thought, which I'll express only 'cause it's still April 1
st here in the posipodes
:
"Which came first – The Kiwi or the Rail?"
They are both birds, you know – Kiwi Birds and Rail Birds. And BTW, it's rather obvious that the egg came before the chicken (which came out of the egg). I.E. The thing that laid the egg wasn't quite a chicken
: for an extreme example, maybe a Kiwi which was a bird (not a fruit) mated with a Rail and the result was several eggs out of which came chickens. Said chickens being fertile (unlike mules) and also apparently incestuous, they begat more chickens – which begat more eggs, which - with the help of humans - eventually begat Ham & Eggs.* Of course it's possible - quite likely, actually, given the nature of Kiwis and Rails - that more than one Kiwi mated with more than one Rail, so maybe the resultant chickens were not really incestuous after all, merely promiscuous. Or maybe, like geese, Kiwis and Rails mate for life - sorta like some A & B diseasel units. Who knows?

* Note also that when it comes to Ham & Eggs, the chicken is merely involved whereas the pig is more deeply committed
