#50 - Huckleberry's locos similar?

June 19, 2000 09:50AM
From a recent posting on the Park Trains list, they described the following equipment residing at the Huckleberry RR:
#5 Plymouth 4-wheel diesel-mechanical built 1950 ex American Smelting and Refining Co, CA. In working order.
#7 General Electric twin-bogie built 1951. 300hp, 52 tons. Ex National Tube Works, PA. In working order and used as a back-up for the steam locos.
#11 Plymouth 4-wheel diesel-hydrostatic built 1968. Ex Badger ammunition plant, WI. 5 tons. Working order.
#1203 Porter C-C diesel-electric built 1947 ex US Gypsum, CA. 75 tons. Needs major engine work and currently stored outside. No immediate plans for restoration.
Could any of these be helpful in the restoration of C&TS #50? Perhaps as reference, or maybe even purchase or trade?
Just an idea...
