Ted,
I can't speak for FEBT's exact agenda, but I would think that 18 and 29 are way down on the restore list. The important thing is they were saved and returned to the EBT. Both need extensive rebuilding, as in most wood parts needing to be replaced to produce a roadworthy car. Fortunately hardware and trucks are still with the cars. FEBT at present is working on combine 14, one of the cars used on the tourist train and needing a lot more work than originally expected. If operations resume, she'll be ready to go back into service.
Also haven't heard much about the passenger car trucks, if not finished I think they were close. These trucks were built for combine 16, presently in Pine Creek New Jersey, and I think leased to FEBT to restore. This, probably the oldest of the remaining EBT stock(1876 EBT shop built, maybe), was stripped of hardware and served as a shed at a gas station before the Allair museum rescued it. Like 18 and 29 a major rebuilding is needed to operate.
