This is from way back, like Dave and Jean Gross' 2009 winter trip on the D&S. It seems like way back anyway. Since I have not been out and about much lately, I was poking through some of my older stuff. This image attracted me because even though it is just a tight shot of the 473, it seems to show off the K-28's business like appearance, lean and mean. Low to the rails and the pumps on the front give it a very functional even modern appearance. Lots of interesting details, bits of bronze and brass here and there. Radial class lamps. Bill Colley checking his speed the old fashioned way, by watching the ground. Not sure how prototypical DRGW that plow is. Nor the GREEN boiler But I liked the image, so FWIW here it is.
