Yes! Reminds me of the early days at the GCRY when, depending on the time of year, a double headed regular passenger train with both #18 and #29 would not be unusual. In the early nighties, the GCRY was very special, especially during the winter. Daily operations included a steam powered passenger train with 5-7 former SP commuter cars and a heavyweight parlor car. 40 mph through Northern Arizona and then a slow wind through Coconino Canyon and on too the former ATSF log depot at the South Rim. Returning in the afternoon watching the AZ sunset and then approaching Red Lake in the dark. The markers were lit on the rear and the firebox glowing as we charged the hill a milepost 3 on the final leg into Williams. Those were both difficult and great times. Fortunately, I remember more of the great times.
