The comments about the shop using what ever was handy should especially be noted on RGS 20. As F&CC #20, the steam dome cover was a Schenectady, smooth sided, one piece dome cover, and looked just like RGS 22 and 25. When the engine emerged from the Rio Grande shops after its purchase for the RGS, it had a 3 piece Baldwin steam dome cover, which it still wears today.
