That's where all those parts came from - cars in Farmington being used for drill mud storage. They wouldn't sell the cars, but agreed to sell the trucks, couplers and brake gear. That stuff was salvaged and moved to Chama. Eventually the car bodies became surplus. Many were bought by the D&S and used as storage sheds.
