Re: Making Donations

What truly bemuses me is some organizations that keep sending me thank-you gifts (mailing labels, note pads, cards & envelopes) even though I have never sent them money and, in at least 2 cases, have written to them to tell them I have no money to send! I have at least a 10 year supply of little sticky labels with my current address on them, guess I can't move until I get them used up! (Dutch Grandmother, Scots G'Grandma, tightwad by genetics)
I mean, right now I'm being bummed because a good friend died suddenly Tuesday and I can't afford to drive ~150 miles to attend the funeral Friday!
And of course the phone will be ringing off the hook soon with all the charitys calling 'cause they want a piece of my Income Tax Return, not that they will be so crass as to put it that way.
